If you are interested in coaching for any of the LCYF Organizations, below are the league requirements that are needed prior to coaching at any level.
Step 1:
Obtain a bi-annual Background check through an accredited entity such as Sports Engine, USA Football, NCYS, etc.
A background obtained & cleared within the last 6 months for an employer or other sport organization can be accepted.
Background checks must be submitted and returned with the status of
CLEARED prior to form of coaching is persude.

For Football:
Complete USA Football Certification:
Below are the steps. Important note where it says ORG NAME, that is where you fill in the name of the organization you will be coaching for.

Located at the top of your dashboard, select Organizations

Review and update 'Your Organizations'

Unless already associated, under 'Find New Organizations', locate: (Name of your organization)

Next to the organization, select 'Associate'

Step 3: Purchase Certification

Go to your

Click "Learn More" underneath your preferred youth certification

Click on "Get Certified"

Click "Continue to Payment"

Insert credit card info

Click "Validate Price"

Click "Confirm & Purchase"

Start Certification

Click on "USA Cheer Youth Coach Membership"

USA Cheer completes a background check Annually included in your membership.

There is a separate cost every 2 years for the Youth Safety & Risk Management Course

WIAA Stunting Certification:
In compliance with WIAA, IF your organization will be coaching and performing any stunting:
WIAA Handbook Q&A 23.5.10 mandates that “hands-on” stunt certification is required for all head cheer coaches.
Certifications are valid for (2) years.
